What's the largest res I can get with dual 24" LCD's ?

I have an eVGA 7900 GTO card and use it to run a DELL 24" LCD and a DELL 20.1" LCD. Each monitor is plugged into its own DVI outlet on the card. At this time I am running the card in SPAN mode for FS2004 and the res defaulted automatically to 3200x1200. I suspect it did this because the 20.1" LCD has a native res of 1600x1200. It looks very good even though the 24" LCD has a different display aspect to the 20.1" LCD.

I am now thinking about getting a second 24" LCD so I can run them both in SPAN mode together and have a monster display of FS2004. But I am wondering, what would be the largest res I could expect to get? Would it be 3840x1200 (the native res of the 24" LCD is 1920x1200) ? That would be stupendous !

Appreciate any info/advice on this matter, thanks!

i had the same idea little while back, i thought i would geta second 24". the only reason i didnt was that none of my games SUPPORT dual monitors (Rise series, rainbow six, ghost recon, BF2 etc...) so i didnt get one. instead re read through a lot of documments from Nvida to see the max resolution for thses games. I found the that ABSOLUTE highest resolution for a dell 24" is 1920 * 1200 (i use that). also, the amount of graphics power required to run at that resolution with the detail settings i use (ill list them at the end of this) require 512MB of graphics but i still expirence a little lag in some parts of games (trees). there for, running DUAL 24" would require over 1GB of grapics power. And the only car that could do that was the GX2 (nvidia) but it has many issues (just look at these forums...) so i desided against that. But if you REALLY want dual 24" go ahead. but graphics power IS AN ISSUE!

here are the specs i use

1920 *1200
8* anti-aliasing
16* anti-sotropic filtering
High video quality
(everything that i can set in game is at high)

Even with tripple buffer, SLI (total power of 512MB) and all other tweeks, my FPS for the Rise series (rise of nations, rise of nations expansion pack, rise of legends) is still 40-60
For BF2 its about 50
Rainbow six its an average of 40 - 60
Ghost recon is 40 - 50
